The New York Architects’ Regatta Challenge is an annual sailing regatta. The challenge enables New York Architecture and Design practitioners to support the efforts of charitable enterprises focused on providing waterfront access and educational experiences to a wider audience of various socioeconomic backgrounds. The regatta is a friendly competition that provides competitors and spectators an exhilarating experience of New York and the Harbor from an exciting point of view.. The Robie is delighted to become a beneficiary of this amazing event.

Montefiore Medical Center, the parent of Burke, also sponsors the Robie with a separate underwriting support.  An important contribution from the Montefiore/Burke connection is that over the years scores of Burke outpatients have participated in the Robie whereby the event gets to give back to our sponsors. During Covid, when the Robie was cancelled, the sailors donated a considerable sum that the Committee used to purchase PPEs for the Burke and Montefiore facilities.

For the past 6+ years, the Craft Beer Guild of New York has been supporting the Robie by providing underwriting support as well as providing Carlsberg beer for the sailors and volunteers to enjoy after sailing each night and during regatta dinners.

Subaru was our first sponsor. In addition to their sponsorship, they have provided special gifts every year--ranging from dry bags to ice bags to bucket hats. Subaru Distributors Corporation is the exclusive and independent distributor of new Subaru vehicles, parts, accessories, and franchisor of all Subaru retailers in New York and Northern New Jersey.

Burke Rehabilitation and Research Hospital has been a sponsor for over 12 years providing funding, and equally importantly, a cadre of physical therapists that come to the Robie each day to help with the transfers of sailors into and out of their boats. They also provide back-up medical capabilities.

Thank you to our sponsors!!!

The Sailing Foundation of New York, supports not only individuals
who demonstrate the commitment and the potential to represent
the USA at the highest possible levels in the sport of sailing, but also the organizations and programs committed to growing our sport. They work with athletes, regatta organizations, yacht clubs and sailing development programs across the country just like the Robie.

The Bart Adaptive Sports Foundation joined the Robie family in 2023. Focused largely on adaptive skiing, a long-time Robie sailor has been involved with Bart and started conversations between Bart and the Robie. As it turns out, Bart is led by a sailor who grew up at Larchmont Yacht Club and hopes to serve as an AB in the future.
